Gloria Kochalka, an Ecuadorian psychologist, has focused her life on academic excellence and community service. Her outstanding academic career allowed her to obtain a scholarship to specialize as a clinical psychologist, while simultaneously committing herself to assistance work as a teaching assistant and volunteer in the fire department of Samborondón-Ecuador, standing out by rising as one of the first women firefighters in the region.
She served as a psychologist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of a pediatric hospital, providing emotional support to both parents and children with physical and emotional challenges.
Her dedication to community wellness led her to develop female empowerment and youth leadership programs for disadvantaged communities at Young Living Foundation- Ecuador. Currently, as a Latina leader in National Wellbeing’s Mental Health First Aid Program in Tampa, she collaborates with various foundations such as Love IV Lawerence and Directions for Living, sharing her experience through mental health training, conferences, and empowerment of the Hispanic community in the United States. Gloria exemplifies how service and dedication can positively impact and transform lives.
