Originally from Venezuela, Tampa became my home over 30 years ago when I felt in love with the area during my first visit while on vacation. I built a career as an engineer and as a realtor and raised my two children here. I now live in South Tampa with my wonderful husband and enjoy travelling, art, cooking, and family gatherings. I was a HPWA (Hispanic Women Association) president during the years 2004and 2005. I worked very hard to enhance the image of professional Hispanic women by creating opportunities to share their knowledge and promote the value of higher educationamong the college students and young professionals. I also created and promoted the Hispanic Gallery Night to fundraise money for college scholarships and to help with the mentorship programs.
